Our Story

Raised in the northern capital of New Delhi, owner of Pashmina Restaurants, Raman Bhasin grew up loving the flavours of his home from the best Delhi restaurants along with the unparalleled street food.

However, it was his mothers` gentle touch to cooking that really stoked his love and passion for the flavours of India.

Bringing his lifetime of northern Indian influences, the young Raman moved to the Algarve working up to opening his first Pashmina in Luz in 2008. Since then, the family has built a solid reputation for delivering high standards and excellent quality not only in the restaurant but with their catering division.

With business and his family steadily growing, Raman opened his Carvoeiro restaurant in 2017 which was received with great anticipation as the Pashmina reputation had traveled over the years. As an avid diner and lover of the finer things in life, he has taken great care in the decor of both restaurants. Using table linens, imported crockery and tasteful Indian art add to the ambience.

The Pashmina team have been working with the award-winning martinhal luxury resort since their opening & have been doing catering for a Bollywood nite where they serve up to 150 guests once a week during the summer. We team up with excellent caterers to offer.

Something that is becoming more and more popular now is mixing western and Indian cuisines, so, we have teamed up with the excellent Bon Bon Catering to offer a comprehensive, top-class service. We cater for all events, big or small and work alongside the specialist party, wedding and event planners. Should you require an all-inclusive service, we are at your disposal.
